Privacy Policy

Introduction

ServerKeep is designed with your privacy as a core principle. We believe your server infrastructure is your business, and we've built our app to reflect that. This policy explains what data ServerKeep collects, stores, and transmits.

Data Collection

ServerKeep does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. We do not use analytics, crash reporting services, or any third-party tracking tools. The app operates entirely on your device.

Credentials & Authentication

SSH credentials (passwords) that you provide to connect to your servers are stored exclusively in your device's secure credential storage — the iOS Keychain on iPhone and iPad, the Android EncryptedSharedPreferences keystore on Android, and the local encrypted store on desktop. ServerKeep never transmits your credentials anywhere other than directly to the SSH server you are connecting to. We never have access to your credentials.

Network Connections

All network connections made by ServerKeep go directly from your device to the servers you configure. There are no intermediary servers, proxies, or cloud services involved. ServerKeep does not phone home, check for updates externally, or communicate with any server other than the ones you explicitly add.

Data Storage

Server configurations (hostname, port, username), saved snippets, Docker Compose configurations, and known host keys are stored locally on your device (SwiftData on iOS, Room on Android, and a local database on desktop). This data is not synced to iCloud or any cloud service. If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed from your device.

Third-Party Services

ServerKeep does not integrate with any third-party services. There are no ads, no analytics SDKs, no social media integrations, and no external APIs called by the app.

Children's Privacy

ServerKeep is a technical tool designed for system administrators and developers. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
